Paul Crocker Original Fine Art 'As I See It'
My work is a mixture of Landscapes, Marine and the objects/people that interact with them.
I was born in Margate and have always lived in Kent apart from time spent in the army and a year spent backpacking round the world.
My work is done using Oils.I used to use other mediums but I have now decided to concentrate on my favourite.
I often mix the tools I work with combining decorating brushes with smaller brushes, pallet knives and even my fingers. My paintings are created in my studio at home so I use digital photos and sketches made on site for reference material it is also important for me to visit the location/subject I am working on so I can get a feel for the atmosphere/personality.
My favourite artists are David Curtis, Rowland Hilder and photographer Peter Lik and I like to think they have all played a part in influencing my work.
I like to see people’s reaction to my work and gain a lot myself from the criticism of someone unfamiliar to my art. My paintings are created on either Box Canvas for a modern contemporary feel or Canvas / Primed Board and framed for a more traditional look.
