Paul Crocker Fine Art

Paul Crocker has been painting seriously now for four years although he has always had a huge interest in art. He studied Art and design, photography and pottery at school through to A ‘level but never really knew how to properly channel his energies. He turned down a position at Art College and worked as a Life Guard for a couple of years before taking another big turn in his life.
In 1996 at Blackheath Careers Office Paul enlisted in the Regular Army as an Infantry Soldier and spent the next three years serving in The 1st Battalion Princess of Wales Royal Regiment.
It was not until a few years later that his interest in art began to become a more permanent part of his life. A year spent backpacking around the world flicked the creativity switch in his head. To start with most of Paul’s subject matter was Landscape or Marine and he especially enjoyed painting skies.
Now Paul has merged another interest into his art in the form of aircraft. To him it seemed a natural progression. He does as much research as he can to place his subject in as natural surrounding as possible and to get the detail and markings correct. A little artistic licence is often present but he tries to honour the veterans and pioneers with the respect they deserve in every painting.
Paul Crocker is a Kent based Artist and he has exhibited his work in open exhibitions and Galleries across the county, in London and Surrey. He works mainly in Oil or Acrylic either on Canvas or Primed MDF.
